Richard Mylan in The Believers

Richard Mylan played the role of Ollie, a Christian lawyer who is married to Maud and is one half of one couple brought together by a violent storm.

Richard says

They are a real mismatch of couples. It's about how they resolve their evening. Their belief systems are completely different and it plays on social awkwardness.

Eventually they find common ground through alcohol and soft drugs. Boundaries fall away and something terrible happens.

It's quite a dark, scary piece. People are literally on the edge of their seats - they laugh, cry and genuinely get freaked out.

Press

This is, surely, British theatre's most electrifying spine-chiller since The Woman in Black. Staged with breathtaking visuals by the director, Scott Graham, of Frantic Assembly, The Believers is, for my money, more acutely disturbing than the West End's current horror plays, Ghost Stories and Let the Right One In.
- The Times

This is a gripping, dark drama exploring the cataclysmic results of the collision of two couples' worlds.
- The Stage

This new piece by Bryony Lavery, presented by physical theatre specialists Frantic Assembly, is a starkly ethereal theatrical chiller.
- Evening Standard

A compelling, spooky thriller with a touch of dark humour.
